According to latest industry reports , users of Apache Hadoop will reap huge benefits from the new partnership between the data-warehouse software provider, Informatica and Hadoop distributor, Mapr. This partnership will allow users to analyze data right when it is being streamed from its source.

The two companies are trying to integrate their products such that the modern large data analysis can be used more easily with the traditional systems. Technically these companies are making a connector which will directly input the streamed data from the Informatica application and put it in a Mapr Hadoop implementation. The Ultra Messaging application of Informatica copies all data onto a messaging bus where it can be reused by other systems. On the other hand Hadoop is a data processing platform which is useful in storing and analyzing data in different formats.

According to Jack Norris, vice president of marketing for Mapr, the only disadvantage of Hadoop was that it was designed for processing data in batches so the analysis could not begin before the file was closed. This poses a problem when the flow of data is continuous so organizations end up using old data if they choose particular instances to analyze the data. However this disadvantage is overcome by combining with the Ultra Messaging application since it will offer the ability to analyze the data as it streams and comes off the message bus.
This combination will be very useful for certain time sensitive tasks such as fraud detection in financial institutions.

Many businesses have to work on their own websites because they are not up to date anymore. With all the social media stuff it is about time to keep up with my competitors. I know that I have to start with it but I keep pushing it back because to be honest, I have no clue about web design.

I used to hire a professional web designer but with the economic downturn I am thinking to do some website work myself. My friends who also have their own business websites told me all about the important things for example that I have to optimize the site for search engines like Google and others.

I had a little extra time and I made some research about web design and found wed design software or even online services like pro site design that might help me with my problems.

I know that I do not only need a website but also a blog a facebook page as well as an twitter account and other social media. I have heard of deluxe facebook pages that are suppose to be better than the normal facebook pages but I can't tell the difference.

A recent blog post on the Windows HPC Team Blog reveals that it has now decided to discontinue work on LINQ to HPC, code named 'Dryad'. Dryad was designed to provide a platform for developers to to build applications that can process large amounts of data. Microsoft has now partnered with Hortonworks, which is a Yahoo spinoff that specializes in Hadoop, to help develop software distributions for Windows Server and Windows Azure. A Community Technology Preview (CTP) of the Windows Azure Hadoop version is due to be out before the end of this year, while the Windows Server test build of Hadoop is due some time in 2012. Senior program manager, Don Pattee, on the HPC Team Blog has acknowledged that Hadoop has emerged as a great platform for analyzing unstructured data or large volumes of data at low cost.
